The Wine Diet book

Now this is a diet Brandish can thoroughly recommend. No food, just Chianti in the morning, Chardonnay in the afternoon, followed by six bottles of Sainsbury’s cheapest table plonk in the evening, and then unconsciousness. Repeat.

Sadly, that isn’t what The Wine Diet is about. Instead, it’s a new book by Roger Corder, which offers a bunch of healthy recipes, and recommendations about what wine to drink with them. "Wine drinkers are less likely to suffer from heart disease, diabetes and dementia in old age," says Corder.

Sounds good to me. At least until some bright spark comes up with The Magners Diet. Pre-order The Wine Diet here, or check out our Food and Drink archive for more healthy and not-so-healthy stories.
