If you own an Xbox 360 and you want a relatively inexpensive (£130) way to get into High-def, then Microsoft’s new HD-DVD player for the 360 is just the ticket. The device can be used to play HD DVDs in the usual hi-def
resolutions: 720p, 1080i and, if you have the right telly, 1080p. It’s not for use with any games though. We haven’t managed to get our hands on a review model yet, but Cnet reported that the player boasts excellent picture/audio quality and impressive user friendliness. PRE-ORDER IT
