Wesley ‘Super Wes’ Autrey

Job Construction worker, based in New York

Special Powers Super Wes, 50, rescued a student who had fallen onto the tracks at a New York subway station. He jumped onto the tracks and rolled with 19-year-old Cameron Hollopeter into the trough between the rails at 137th Street station. Hollopeter, who had reportedly suffered a seizure, was rescued just as a train was coming into the station.

Two cars passed over the men before stopping just centimetres above them.

Autrey’s selfless, heroic act has captured the public’s imagination around the globe.

He said ‘I’m still saying I’m not a hero… cause I believe all New Yorkers should get into that type of mode.’

They said ‘Mr Autrey’s instinctive and unselfish act saved our son’s life… There are no words to properly express our gratitude and feelings for his actions.’ Cameron Hollopeter’s father

We say What a guy!

Did you know? Donald Trump has offered Autrey a substantial financial ‘reward’ for his heroism.
