Elements of biker fashion seem to be creeping into designer menswear, judging by the amount of leather displayed in many of the autumn/winter campaigns. There’s also an abundance of chunky, chopper-kicking boots making their way onto men’s feet, which I first saw highlighted in Diesel’s a/w preview.
New York’s Kenneth Cole also seems to be getting in on the act with these punky One In A Million (£160) boots, featuring a monk strap and a series of metal studs on the toe and heel. These actually have quite a smart, if rounded, silhouette which is far removed from the severe sharp toe that we’ve been used to over the last few years in the wake of the skinny-jeans brigade. These boots, with their bad-attitude straps and studs, wouldn’t be passed up by any discerning Hells Angel. Probably.
