Forget your weeny outer-wear from Berghaus and The North Face, Moncler is the daddy when it comes to cold-weather gear. Credited with creating the first down-filled jacket, the company has been involved in pro-winter sports, mountaineering and general fashion wear since its inception in 1952 and now has a chain of boutiques across the world.
This Gide gilet/vest/body warmer/armless jacket forms part of its a/w ’07 range (surely a brand like Moncler only has an autumn/winter collection?) and has a bit more finesse than the last gilet we featured. But that’s probably because it costs a bit more. This toasty piece of clothing comes in at £200. Worth it? Let us know your thoughts.
