Allsaints Raincoat brings in a touch of facist chic
This Allsaints double breasted rain jacket (£195) is a refreshing departure from the black woolen coat that has become the only item suitable to wear with a sharp suit. Its severe tailoring, small collar and total absence of lapels even remove it from the "flasher" category of raincoats, the coat looking more like it belongs to a particularly au courant Gestapo officer.
The cinched waist and belt give the jacket a slight feminine appeal, but this only serves to accent the chest which, along with the currently in-vogue epaulets, create an overall masculine finish to the the jacket.
