Asos’s -
whom we can’t seem to go a day without mentioning – own brand products have a
strange tendency to look just a non-brand version of an item they already have
in stock. First they have these pointy
lace-ups, which are strikingly similar to these H
by Hudson pointy lace-ups.

Slightly
less blatant are these plimsoll
brogues, which are more reminiscent of Nanny States than a complete copy of
them.  The fact that they’re basically
shoes made out of canvas separates them from the hybrid nature of Nanny States
and at £22, they’re worth it if you need a good pair of back-up trainers.
