Whilst designer collaborations are nothing
new, Uniqlo’s UT project is looking to take this to the next level. On the
Uniqlo website are designs by Gareth Pugh, French, Peter Saville, Kim Jones and
Dishy Duds idea thief, Cassette Playa.
But even these high profile names aren’t
enough for Uniqlo, who look to collaborate with 1,000 artists every year in
this seemingly never ending project.
Out of the ones available now, the ‘hairy
man’ tee by French is my favourite. The graphic is suitably large and the
picture actually looks like it took a lot of effort, rather than a bunch of
triangles and squares plopped down onto a symmetrical pattern.
