Reebok’s latest attempt to plunder the vault of things best left in the ’80s is a glow-in-the-dark trainer. Released last month in desperately limited edition these very special Court Victory Pumps were snapped up almost instantly.
I have to say I do quite like these. I like their split personality: during the daytime, they’re simple white trainers only the green accents hint at what they might become. When the sun sets, as with so many good things (vampires, Batman, err, night-time) the fun really starts. The shoes become your own personal laser show as the fractal circuit board pattern makes itself known.
They’d be perfect for those people who only warm up after they’ve had a
few, those who are a bit quiet during waking hours but turn into wild
animals at nightfall. Alcoholics in other words. Also like creatures of
the night, you’ll have your wits about you if you want to catch a
glimpse before they disappear but thankfully there’s still a few pairs
left at Size? for £79.99.
