Miharayasuhiro have been branching out,
teaming up with Puma for a successful trainer collection. Their S/S collection
was a success, showcasing wearable pieces that are more about fit than
extravagant details. The A/W collection looks to be a continuation of that

And that’s no bad thing. Miharayasuhiro’s
A/W is flooded with wearable pieces, starting with the leather jacket on the
far left. However, It does look remarkably similar to a Rick Owens jacket
I creamed over a few months back, but no one owns the patent to asymmetrical zips
on leather jackets, do they? The dark grey suit also looks similar to an Ute Ploier suit
we featured and the jacket second from the right looks like one Pepe Jeans did
in S/S 2006. The only item that doesn’t look like something I’ve seen before is
the military green trench coat with a scarf attached to it.

That’s not to say the items are bad in any
way, they all look wonderful. It’s just underwhelming to have a supposedly new
collection feature so many items that have been out for a couple of seasons.
Maybe next season, Miharayasuhiro will showcase some more original pieces.
