We heard the rumours way back in January and the pictures are here. Keith Richards has been snapped by Annie Liebovitz for Louis Vuitton’s latest ad campaign which will make an appearance in April.
Antoine Arnault, Vuitton’s head of communications said "The good thing about Keith is, he’s big just about everywhere. He speaks to the 20-year-old who’s into rock ‘n’ roll and the 65-year-olds who went to [a Rolling Stones] concert when they were 20." Keef picked himself a leather jacket from a Vuitton store the day before the shoot. Click on the thumbnail to see full image.[Source: WWD]
Keith is perched on a bed with a custom-made Vuitton guitar case and a pure Richards touch of a skull print scarf in the background.
The tagline for the advert reads "Some journeys cannot be put into words," and looking at his weathered face you can see why Richards was chosen for this particular campaign. The Rolling Stones guitarist donated part of his fee to The Climate Project an environmental charity.
