One of the few pictures from the Sartorialist’s London visit has surfaced and it’s a wonderful piece of British nostalgia. The tasselled loafers look great with the mustard top and oxblood bag, like the commenters I’m not so sure about the fit of the jeans but I think we can let him off!
Garance Doré’s shot of ‘l’ami à la cigarette’ is refined simplicity, the pleated trousers and gently rumpled shirt are effortless chic, plus I love the haircut.
Charlie Porter got there first about two years ago but StillInBerlin’s grey-shirted man shows there’s still mileage in replacing your tie with a bit of metalwork. Alternatively make like Facehunter’s gingham-clad chap and whack on a fake rose. I’d like to team an aubergine-coloured one with a navy shirt and a mustard cardigan.
