Ewan McGregor, Brandish fave and actor extraordinaire, has made it as this week’s ‘Love The Look’ style icon. While not actually a look he created himself, McGregor’s get-ups in the film ‘Down With Love’ were unbelievable. Mod suits, a Rat Pack-slick haircut, patent shoes and exotic skins; the look was one of excitement and interesting times. As the love story blossomed, each event was painted with the brilliant sartorial brush of McGregor’s dapper-dandy. Who cares if the actual film was rubbish?

Create it yourself with items that you’re bound to have banging around somewhere!

First you need a well-cut and tailored blazer, preferably in a subtle but complicated print such as the classic black ‘n’ white houndstooth. After this all you need is a white shirt, bright-coloured tie with no pattern and a pair of skinny black jeans. Go for white if you like to be a fashion dare-devil!

I wouldn’t be slicking my hair as I would then look like I was not trying to mimic a cool, 60s look but wearing a fancy-dress costume. Ahhh- you can’t have it all.

You can, however, add geek-chic glasses such as Jay-Z’s for a loud and proud finish to this awesome retro look.
