Men.Style is great for tongue-in-cheek features and their ‘Ultimate Party Guide’ is not only perfectly-timed but a great read and (just to add some sense of validity to this post,) a good laugh. The feature aims to make you “a legendary host” and the site has got a few of America’s most refined movers ‘n’ shakers on-board to add their two pence to the Christmas-party-nightmare cup.
If you are planning to throw a party and you’re hoping it lives up to the obviously high-expectations of those who actually enjoy Christmas (which I’m sure is all Brandish readers!) then you have to read the full run-down of the guide after the jump!
Jim Meehan, “formerly of New York’s Gramercy Tavern and Pegu Club,” puts forward a drinks guide (including recipes) and Bryan Calvert, “chef and co-owner of James, which has won raves–and hour-plus waits to get a table on weekends” does food.
Etiquette and Gossip is handled by Euan Rellie, a Brit, who is a “U.K.-born banker-about-town” and “an ever-present guest at New York’s various parties and after-parties.”
Alison Riley, “former design director at Barneys New York,” hooks us up for great invitations and decor advice is given by David Alhadeff and Bronson van Wyck.
Last but certainly not least, (as any host already knows,) is the music which is dished out by “Montreal-born, New York-based duo Chromeo.”
