Yuketen was founded by Yuki Matsuda, who moved to America in order to work with footwear Artisans. Together they began to produce Moccasin style hunting boots, inspired by 1930’s mountain men. The shoes are made with traditional methods, using American sourced naked leather, to wrap the foot (not just cover it as most shoes this day do). The soles are made from real crepe, which is of course, 100% natural rubber from Brazil and takes about 4 hours to hand sew to the upper.
This season Yuketen has introduced the Kilted Sports Blucher, which fuses both moccasin and deck shoe sensibilities together. These would look absolutely amazing with a pair of rolled up chinos.
