The first big-ish signing of the morning for a Prem club has just landed with Liverpool confirming that they have signed French international Mamadou Sakho on a long-term contract. The rumour is that he cost £12 million.
This follows the deal for Tiago Ilori, who has cost Liverpool £25m.
Sakho told the club’s website: “I’m delighted to be here. I’d like to thank everyone for the welcome.
“I came here because the project that is in place at Liverpool interests me. I’m really looking forward to playing my first game.”
The Paris Saint-Germain defender is a much needed boost to the Reds’ defense.
