So it seems Arsenal have been rebuffed by Real Madrid in their search for a striker with Benzema possibly staying put and Morata on his way to Juve. But with £100 million burning a hole in his pocket and two strikers (if we assume that Loic Remy is pretty much a done deal) on his shopping list is Arsene now looking to prise Wilfried Bony from Swansea.
There’s a lot of talk this morning about the striker – who has been linked to Arsenal in the past – and the Star now reckons that Wenger will pay as much as £25 million for the Ivory Coast man.
Chelsea are also reported to be monitoring Bony but have balked at the price.
Bony has also apparently been on West Ham’s radar and if Wellbeck departs United may find himself somewhere on LVG’s shopping list.
