This World Cup has shown us there is still an array of talent out there that is yet to be discovered from other countries. With that said, the Premier League will be sure to snap up any stars who have consistently performed against the worlds best players.

Here are 4 players who have impressed and may spark attention from the Premier League’s finest clubs:

1. Guillermo Ochoa – Incredibly, the Mexican goalkeeper is a free-agent. Ochoa has been a sensation for the Mexican side and produced a number of miraculous saves throughout the tournament and most notably against Brazil. Ochoa has been a safe pair of hands between the sticks for Mexico and has certainly drawn the plaudits regarding his high level performances. The 28-year-old was playing his football in France at Ajaccio before his contract ran out; it seems he has given himself a chance to step up to the big time as Premier League side Liverpool seem interested in retaining the Mexico number ones services.

2. Ahmed Musa – Nigerian winger Ahmed Musa stunned Argentina by scoring a brace in their thrilling 3-2 clash where the South-American’s just came out on top. Musa posed a constant threat down the wing giving Manchester City full-back Pablo Zabaleta a torrid time. Musa who is playing his football in Russia with CSKA Moscow will be looking to see if there is any interest in his name for the coming season. Blessed with pace and an eye for goal, Musa could prove a real asset in the Premier League.

3. William Carvalho – Touted as a big future player for Portugal, the young midfielder has had more of a cameo World Cup thus far, coming on as substitiute at half-time against the USA. However, in just 45 minutes, Carvalho illustrated exactly why he has been labelled as a future star after his immaculate ball retention and simplicity. Manchester United have been contstantly linked with the young Sporting midfielder to help them keep the ball in good areas. The tall strong 22-year-old has shown enough for club and country to make it known he is ready to play against the best in the world. Carvalho could be a real coup should United or another Premier League club come in for him.

4. Granit Xhaka – Xhaka’s performances may be overshadowed by that of Xherdan Shaqiri, but the Swiss defensive midfielder has been at the heart of the midfield allowing his team mates to play the ball around him. The Monchengladbach anchor man has been impressive at the World Cup and Premier League manager will take not as many like to adopt a holding midfielder. With the ability to be a versatile midfielder who can score goals too, don’t be surprised if Xhaka does make the move to England this summer.
