Arsenal about to sign Sami?

Is Sami Khedira about to sign for Arsenal? That is what is being said this morning; the German international is looking to move away from Real Madrid and Arsenal look the most likely to secure the services of Khedira; should he move to the Premier League.

The gossip comes from this article, which reports that Spanish newspaper AS saying that Real Madrid have set their sights firmly on German international Toni Kroos.

The Mirror says

Los Blancos are reportedly extremely keen to do a deal for the Bayern Munich man this summer with him only having one year left remaining on his deal at the Allianz Arena.

With a new face crowding an already stacked midfield one of the current stars may have to make way.

There are suggestions that could well be Arsenal target Sami Khedira.

Wenger seems to have a good relationship with the Madrid club and Arsenal have also been linked to several other Los Blancos players including Di Maria, Benzema and Morata.

However the player is also reported to be interesting Chelsea, Liverpool and Man United too.

Khedira is currently at the World Cup with Germany and has been a key figure in the German midfield, something Arsenal may want to tighten up after missing out on the re-signing of Cesc Fabregas.

It looks like Arsene Wenger is ready to spend big this summer as Khedira joins the growing list of linked players with the Gunners. Arsenal will want to improve their squad depth as they were hampered by injuries last season which may have resulted in their demise from the top of the table.

Will Khedira make the switch to the Emirates? Wenger is showing his boldness, trying to attract big names to Arsenal this coming season. Will they manager to sign the German?

Mr Baines you may, or may not, be right about Khedira, but get it right about Fabregas according to you Arsenal “missed out” on signing him, really? Sloppy sloppy sloppy, Arsenal chose not to activate their buy back clause as they already had Ozil, a situation that was confirmed in a statement from none other than Cesc Fabregas.
