Reports from the Italian media have revealed that Juventus midfielder, Arturo Vidal’s agent is flying to Brazil to meet with representatives from Manchester United & Real Madrid to discuss a potential deal for the Chilean.

If Vidal was to move to Manchester United, it is said that the Red Devils would be keen to offload Portuguese winger Nani and see him move in the other direction as part of the deal.

According to this Italian source; Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti sees Vidal as a like for like replacement for German midfielder Sami Khedira who may be a target for Arsenal if Vidal was to sign for Los Blancos. At 27 years of age, Vidal is coming into his prime and is ready to seek a new challenge as he chooses either Manchester or Madrid as a new chapter in his career.

Vidal’s transfer could spark a knock on affect across the top European sides, as clubs will look to strengthen and pinch players who are on the fringes of the first team such as Khedira and Nani.

The Chilean is currently playing in the World Cup and has impressed on international duty along with his colleagues. The South-American’s showed they were no pushovers as they defeated both Australia and Spain; dispatching two goals past the current holders to knock them out of the tournament.

Vidal has been a key player for Chile and it seems Manchester United and Real Madrid are ready to negotiate with his agent after impressing both sides.

Where should Vidal go?
