AC Milan sent out a tweet today thanking legendary Brazil midfielder Kaka for his service to the club. It read: “You’ll be forever a red & black heart Kaka! Thank you for everything”. This comes as he ends his second spell at I Rossoneri whom he rejoined from Real Madrid in 2013.

Ricardo Izecson dos Santos Leite, or more simply Kaka, looks set to finalise his deal to join new MLS franchise Orlando City Soccer in America. The deal, that will begin in 2015 will most likely see him spend some time back on loan at São Paulo in Brazil where he began his career.

Kaka almost joined Manchester City in 2009 when leaving Milan for the first time but despite the £100m bid, the World Cup winner picked Real Madrid instead. Milan has a special place in the playmaker’s heart as he has made over 220 Serie A appearances for the club.

Kaka joins a list of superstars gracing the MLS as David Villa and Chelsea hero Frank Lampard sign up for 2015. Former Spurs striker Jermaine Defoe has been impressing for Toronto FC and of course; David Beckham is the most famous player to make the move across the pond when he played for LA Galaxy.
