The Daily Star are reporting that Chelsea are looking to step up their interest in Ukrainian winger Andriy Yarmolenko. However, they are set to face stiff competition from Liverpool, West Ham United and Stoke City before anything can be completed.
The 24 year old plays for Dynamo Kiev and was subject to bids from Liverpool last year, however since then Kiev have dropped their asking price to around £15m. It is thought he seeks a move to Stamford Bridge but would want assurances from Jose Mourinho about first team football, something that is unlikely.
This desire for game time and a move to the Premier League could mean good news for Stoke City and West Ham but Chelsea would still blow their rivals out of the water by opening the cheque book with a big offer.
Yarmolenko has 39 Ukraine caps scoring 15 goals and has played 146 times in the Ukrainian Premier League since joining Dynamo Kiev in 2006.
