Alexis Sanchez has completed his move to Arsenal last night after Arsenal and Barcelona agreed a fee for the striker said to be £35m.

The Chilean has been a huge hit already since arriving and has stirred much excitement amongst social media fans across Twitter and the like. Finally, Arsene Wenger has taken a chance in the transfer window in signing a high profile player and for what seems a bit of a bargain for many.

Arsenal will be excited for the rest of the summer as they continue to be linked with players such as Debuchy, Remy, Khedira and Martinez. With the arrival of Sanchez, is anything possible? The Gunners are attracting prestigious names and will hope that will aid their attempts to get their hands on the coveted Premier League title in the coming season.

The 25-year-old penned a long term contract with the Londoners. Sanchez scored 47 goals in 141 appearances for Barcelona and managed to net twice in the World Cup this summer.

Speaking ahead of the move, Sanchez said –  “I’m so happy to be joining a club which has a great manager, a fantastic squad of players and huge support around the world. I’m looking forward to playing in the Premier League and Champions League.”

Sanchez’s zeal and passion to play for the club will win over even more fans as the former Barcelona man looks to hit the ground running. In regards to what he can bring to the Arsenal team, manager Arsene Wenger stated – “As many people have seen during the World Cup this summer, Alexis is a fantastic footballer and we are delighted that he is joining us. Alexis will add power, creativity and much quality to our squad and we are all looking forward to him joining up with us in a few weeks.”

Arsenal fans, don’t worry – you weren’t dreaming this morning…

He has arrived.
