German international Sami Khedira has apparently turned down a new deal at Real Madrid according to reports; antagonising more speculation that he is about to move to Arsenal.
Khedira has been on the books at Arsenal for a while now and this summer has raised up more speculation as the German is looking set to move away from Spain after turning down a new deal.
Reports have suggested that Khedira has asked in person to leave and wants to join Arsenal to link up with international team mates; Mertesacker, Ozil and Podolski.
Wenger is said to have placed a £24m bid for the centre midfielder but would find it difficult to match Khedira’s high wage demands. Having already signed Alexis Sanchez from Barcelona yesterday, Arsenal will be full of confidence in attracting high profile players to the club.
Could Khedira be next on the wish list for Wenger?
