Reports today have revealed that Liverpool have had a bid rejected for Swansea left-back Ben Davies. Yesterday we reported that the Merseyside club had completed the deal to sign Lazer Markovic from Benfica and now Liverpool have turned their attentions to the defensive positions.
Davies, 21, has been a constant for the Welsh club since making his debut in 2012, clocking up over 70 appearances. With the vast funds flooding in from the Luis Suarez sale, Liverpool have an opportunity to splash the cash to build and define their entire squad.
Manager, Brendan Rodgers has clearly identified Davies as a player that can add something to this Liverpool side but it appears his bid of £8m has been rejected by Swansea according to the Telegraph.
Negotiations could prove to be a stumbling point as the deal with Davies could jeopardise any chance to sign Wilfried Bony who has been a target for Liverpool this summer.
As Liverpool look to re-buff their bid for the left back, there will be no shortage of players linked to Anfield this summer. With money at hand and a Premier League title to challenge for, Liverpool fans can brace themselves for an exciting summer.
