According to a post on a Chinese forum Digi-Wo, the iPhone 6 will include Sony’s Exmor IMX220 camera sensor which has a 13MP, 1/2.3″ sensor and can record video in 1080p.
Previous rumours have suggested that the iPhone 6 would stick to the 8MP resolution from the iPhone 5S, but would include improved image stabilisation, and that this would only be available in the 5.5-inch version of the handset.
Digi-Wo does have a track record of leaking accurate Sony information, but is not particularly known for Apple related news. That doesn’t mean we should dismiss the rumour entirely, but as always we should be wary of it’s authenticity. [MacRumours]
