Recon’s answer to Google Glass isn’t out yet, but the folks in charge have released details of the finalised design in anticipation of the 25th September launch date.

So what’s new? the HUD’s brainbox is now angled slightly upwards to improve the display’s viewing angle and camera orientation, and the ergonomics have been tweaked so it’s an all round better fit. It’s also been rated to an IP65 standard, which means it can withstand torrential rain and dust, but it can’t be submerged underwater.

Testing is ongoing, and once released the final product will cost around $700 (£410). [Recon Instruments via Engadget]
