Microsoft’s next Nokia is a budget Lumia 530

Now that Microsoft own Nokia, it’s no surprise that they’re pushing it to create more Lumia devices and help to spread the Windows Phone brand. Their first release? A budget Lumia 530 that will cost a mere €85 (around £67), which is astoundingly cheap.

So what does this budget Lumia come with, can’t be that great for less than £70 can it? You get a 4-inch 854×480 display, a quad core 1.2GHz Snapdraon 200 processor, 512MB of RAM, 4GB s internal storage, and microSD expansion. It also comes with a 5MP rear facing camera (no front facing camera for the selfie crowd here), and Windows 8.1. So nothing groundbreaking, but what did you expect really.

Sadly there is no 4G option, but it does come with interchangeable colours for those of you who like to mix and match.

The new budget Lumia 530 will start rolling out to certain markets (no word on what they may be) next month. [Nokia via Engadget]
