Di Maria move to the Premier League edging ever closer

Will the Premier League be greeting Argentinian winger Angel Di Maria to the ever growing list of talented players this summer? Only time will tell.

Di Maria’s future at the Bernabeu looks to be in the balance as Madrid have signed World Cup sensation, James Rodriguez from Monaco for a staggering £71m.  Rodriguez will be the favourite to join Gareth Bale and Ronaldo in a sensational attacking midfield which will support Karim Benzema. A formidable attack in which first team spots will be hard to come by and someone like Di Maria may not be happy to be ousted from the line-up.

With that said, Arsenal and Manchester United have been linked with Di Maria virtually since the window opened and are now ready to pounce for the winger.

According to caughtoffside, the Premier League duo will battle it out in a race to sign the Argentine. Still only 26-years-old, Di Maria has a wealth of experience and his impressive CV will make him a stand out target for potential suitors. Ready to leave the Spanish captial for pastures new, Di Maria may be better suited to the Arsenal style of play; intricate, fast and slick. However, the money at United may be the deciding factor that helps beckon Di Maria to Manchester.

As this deal hots up, there will be no end to the speculation surrouding Di Maria and where his future lies next season.
