Arsenal midfielder and creative spark, Santi Cazorla may be on his way out of the Emirates to move back to Spain and join Atletico Madrid. The Spanish League winners and Champions League runners-up are looking to buy someone of Cazorla’s style and capabilities after losing out on a handful of their attacking players this transfer window.
The Spaniard has recently spoken highly of Madrid’s performances, “They had an incredible season last year. Winning titles takes several campaigns, I admire everything they have conquered. Many people do not realise how hard it is to win a league competing with Barcelona or Madrid.”
Reports from ITV Sport have suggested that Arsenal may be inclined to mull over a bid if it were to come from Atletico as it would bring about more money to add to the kitty. That money could then be splashed out to unleash a bid for Dortmund midfielder, Marco Reus. The German has rejected a two-year-contract with the German outfit and looks set to leave Germany.
Liverpool were interested in signing the play-maker, but if Arsenal were to let Cazorla leave, they would be tipped hot favourites to bring in Reus who would soon settle into their style of play. Wenger is beginning to form a formidable squad of world class quality and youthful talent, something Reus may want to buy into.
It probably counts for nothing but North London pubs have apparently been awash with Reus to Arsenal gossip in the last few weeks.
Will Cazorla be exiting the Emirates and will Reus be welcomed in as a Gunner?
