Edinson Cavani could be on the end of a spectacular deal that will see him join Manchester United to make room for Angel Di Maria to join PSG from Real Madrid.
United look to have lost the race to sign the winger Di Maria, but could prize away the French sides striker to help fund the Di Maria move.
Cavani has revealed that this possibility could be a reality speaking to the Express, “”I am sure I am staying, why would I not be? I am happy in Paris, under contract to PSG and calm. I feel good here. But, as I have already said, it does not only depend on the player.”
The Uruguayan did suggest he is upset over his position, “It also depends on the club and what is going on for them. We had some small problems with respect to the position I wanted to play but I feel very good about that. I waited for the right moment to speak. It is important for a striker to play in a position that is natural for him. Now everyone knows my position and it is not worth talking about any-more.”
Despite insisting he is ready to stay at PSG, reports have claimed that the striker is holding talks with the French club to discuss his future and a potential move to United to free up room for Di Maria.
Will Van Gaal and United be making a move for the big striker in the coming days?
