Chelsea’s 23 year old Chelsea striker, Andre Schurrle has apparently become the focus of interest from top Spanish club Atletico Madrid.
Schurrle may have been part of the side that won the World Cup for Germany, but he has struggled to get regular game time at Chelsea and with Drogba rejoining and Diego Costa as a new recruit, his chances of starting on a regular basis don’t look so hot.
Atletico have already offered to swap Brazilian defender Miranda for Schurrle, however, Mourinho is alleged to be more interested in a cash-only deal.
Schurrle only signed for Chelsea 12 months ago, and despite a slow start, scored 8 goals in 30 games during the second half of the season.
He has also proved to be a flexible player who can play well in the midfield as well as up front.
Would you miss him Chelsea fans?
