The upcoming Premier League season will bring about many superstars and one of those talents will be Liverpool youngster Jordan Ibe.
The young winger has been touted as a future star and has been showing his quality in pre-season with the Reds this summer.
The 18-year-old is reminiscent of Raheem Sterling who currently occupies the left hand side for Liverpool. Ibe’s pace and confidence to run with the ball excites crowds and gets them on their feet. With Sterling ahead of him, Ibe has the chance to learn from Sterling who has made a true impact on his club and country.
On loan last season at Birmingham, Ibe gathered some invaluable playing time and has helped his development as a player. Ibe is also in good hands as he is said to be under the wing of striker Daniel Sturridge who is mentoring the young winger.
Ibe may feel his first team opportunities will be limited to due the mass of signings that manager Brendan Rodgers has made this summer, particularly in midfield areas. However, Ibe should not be disheartened and should seek optimism after Rodgers has given Raheem Sterling and Jon Flanagan their chance to prove themselves as starting players for Liverpool
If Ibe can replicate his form in pre-season and continue to ply his impressive play in training we may see one of the future stars of Premier League football sooner rather than later.
