Hull City are ready to unleash a phenominal bid to bring in Manchester United and England striker Danny Welbeck to the KC Stadium.
The move comes in the light of Shane Longs £12m move to Southampton which we reported a few days ago. With all that cash in hand, Steve Bruce is willing to put all of his eggs in one basket and prize away Welbeck from Old Trafford to make him his new number one striker.
According to The Metro, Manchester United boss Louis Van Gaal has said that Welbeck’s chances at United will be limited and he may want to look elsewhere should he desire first team football and a chance to continue his international career.
A move to Hull would be tempting for Welbeck as the Tigers did qualify for the Europa League, something that could help twist Welbeck’s arm when making a decision.
With Rooney now given the captains arm-band and Van Persie a fellow countryman of Van Gaal, on paper it would seem Welbeck would be better suited to a move away and the KC Stadium could be the best choice for the striker. Welbeck’s credentials as a potent striker have been criticised, however, no arises an opportunity for the young man to showcase his ability and prove he is a natural goalscorer.
