Southampton midfielder Jack Cork looks set to be the eighth player to leave St Mary’s this summer after Ronald Koeman has accepted a £3m bid from Crystal Palace for the English midfielder.
According to the Daily Mail Cork was unable to agree a new contract at Southampton and with just one-year left on his existing contract, the Saints have decided to cash in now rather than lose him on a free next season.
The dynamic midfielder is an unsung hero for Southampton, a player who can do the dirty work and help keep the fluidity of the side going, Cork is an under-rated star and will be a welcomed addition at Palace.
As the mass exodus of players leaving continues, Koeman and his backroom staff will be wanting to act quickly to replace the quality they once had.
Jack Cork is on the verge of leaving St Mary’s, who else will join him?
