Tottenham have today confirmed a deal to sign Seattle Sounders full back, DeAndre Yedlin on a four-year-contract according to BBC Sport.
The 21-year-old right back played a bit-part in USA’s World Cup campaign and mightily impressed when he came on as a substitute. Blessed with raw pace and a directness to his play, Yedlin will act as cover for first choice full-back Kyle Walker.
Speaking ahead of the move to the Premier League, the American said: “I’m very excited to come to the Premier League and challenge myself against some of the best players in the world.”
The right-back, will stay with MLS club Seattle until the start of the 2015-16 season before moving to London.
Yedlin joins Michel Vorm, Ben Davies and Eric Dier as the newest recruits to join Mauricio Pochettino’s side this summer.
