Breaking News has emerged this morning from the Hawthorns, West Brom have captured former Celtic and Greece striker, Georgios Samaras on a two-year-deal.
Earlier this week, Albion boss Alan Irvine expressed his interest in the Greek striker who left Celtic in the summer, “He’s a player we’re aware of. We have enquired about him. Nothing is done as far as he’s concerned.”
Samaras scored 73 goals in 249 games after joining Celtic from City in 2008.
Samaras also brought about interest in himself this summer after he helped Greece progress to the last 16 of the World Cup in Brazil after scoring a 90th minute penalty to overcome the Ivory Coast.
A player who has previous Premier League experience with Manchester City, Samaras would bring about a wealth of experience to West Brom as they look to challenge the Premier League once again.
