Manchester City and England right back Micah Richards is looking set for a Manchester City exit this summer, however, the question is, to where?
Touted with a move to Newcastle all summer, Richards has been out of favour at City, falling down the pecking order behind first choice, Pablo Zabaleta.
With a promising future ahead of him, Richards career has plateaued somewhat as he now looks to seek a new career challenge in which he can once again fight to reclaim a place in the England squad.
According to the Manchester Evening News, West Ham are lining up a £7m bid for the right back despite signing Arsenal defender Carl Jenkinson on loan. Still only 26-years-old, Richards has time to show England manager Roy Hodgson that he is a worthy choice as an England right back of Premier League quality.
With pace to burn, strong and powerful, Richards does all the basics well – his endeavour to chase back and join attacks makes him a stand-out candidate for the ever developing position of a right back / wing back.
Will Richards nightmare story at City end as the light at the end of the tunnel draws ever closer? Will we see the Micah Richards of old that got England fans so excited?
