Moto X+1 for Verizon

Despite having declared he was going to retire, noted mobile leaker @evleaks has one final parting gift for us all: press renders of the upcoming sequel to the Moto X, the Moto X+1. Press renders that show off the phone in glorious detail.

The photos confirm some of the details we’ve heard before, like optional wood panelling, front facing speakers, and dual camera flashes. Strangely, Engadget has pointed out to dots on both the top and bottom of the phone’s bezel, speculating that they look similar to the motion sensors in Amazon’s Fire Phone — but also noting that they could just be oddly placed screws. Considering we don’t know much about the features its not something we can really speculated on ourselves, but oddly placed screws is fairly likely.

Details might be scarce, but the phone is expected to be unveiled at Motorola’s September 4th event — meaning we don’t have that long to wait before we find out for sure. [@evleaks via Engadget]
