Spurs have been subject to speculation this morning, insisting they are preparing an £11m bid for QPR and France striker Loic Remy according to the Daily Star.
The 27-year-old striker was all set to announce his departure from Rangers last month as he looked to be on his way to Liverpool for £8.5m. However, due to unforeseen circumstances (believed to be the medical) Liverpool pulled out of the deal for Remy and have instead looked elsewhere which has now concluded in Mario Balotelli.
Meanwhile, Spurs are ready to pounce on the striker, however, they will be forced to pay a high rate than Liverpool as a clause in Remy’s contract states he would go for a cut price should a Champions League side move in for him.
To ensure a deal is secured, Spurs are willing to use either Dawson, Townsend or Carroll as make-weights to help seal the deal for the Londoners.
A striker with pace and precision, Remy would push fellow strikers Roberto Soldado, Emmanuel Adebayor and Harry Kane for a starting position at Tottenham.
However, if a deal is agreed, one thing is for sure; Remy, QPR and Spurs will all be sweating over the medical.
