Everton boss Roberto Martinez has remained tight lipped over the potential arrival of two players to Goodison Park, Samuel Eto’o and Danny Welbeck.
Both players have been widely claimed to be on the radar at Everton and Martinez has expressed that he is looking at all the options in-front of him.
In relation to his sides 2-2 draw with Arsenal, Martinez was very happy with his sides first half performance and wants to find players to help re-create that form.
Speaking to Sky Sports the Everton manager said, “It is about trying to see what we need in the squad and how we are going to repeat our first-half performance over 90 minutes.”
On Welbeck and Eto’o, Martinez added: “There is a lot of money involved in those two. At the moment, if I am honest with you, I am looking at all the options.
“While the window is open we are looking at anyone who can help us and also looking at our injured players and seeing how they react.
“Oviedo and Kone will have a big say on how we end the window and I have an open mind about it. Our first-half performance shows what we have got in the squad.”
Eto’o who is a free agent after leaving Chelsea and Welbeck who has been told he is free to leave are both seeking new challenges. However, with money as the stumbling block – will either of these players been seen in the Merseyside Blue this season?
