Earlier this evening everything seemed to point to Alvaro Negredo staying at the Etihad Stadium with Manchester City. However, with Valencia still keen on bringing the Spaniard to La Liga it now appears the deal is back on the cards.
Alvaro Negredo scored 9 goals in 32 Premier League games as Manchester City brought home the title in 2013/14 but picked up an injury and his since fallen behind Sergio Aguero, Edin Dzeko and Stevan Jovetić in the club’s pecking order.
The move to Valencia would see him have the opportunity to add to his impressive La Liga goals tally of 102 goals in 209 games. Those came for Almeria and Sevilla and earned him his £16.5m move to Manchester City last summer.
Sky Sports New HQ have changed their mind on if the transfer will be completed and it all looks ready to go with the player joining on an initial loan with the obligation for Valencia to buy next season. The 21 capped international will also take a pay-cut to force the switch through.
