Soccer - UEFA Champions League - Group B - Schalke 04 v Arsenal - Veltins Arena

Despite claims that Arsenal are not active in today’s transfer deadline day; reports are circulating that the Gunners are ready to launch a £40m bid for German and Borussia Dortmund play-maker, Marco Reus.

Ideally, Arsenal fans will want to see a striker enter the doors of the Emirates, however, its Reus who has been tipped to join the Gunners on deadline day amidst speculation that Arsenal are not active.

The Metro are reporting that Arsenal are willing to prepare a huge £40m for the midfielder. Whilst Reus would be a welcomed addition to the squad, is he needed?

With players like Ozil, Cazorla, Sanchez and Ramsey in the squad – would Reus just be another attacking midfielder to throw into the mix? What Arsenal need, is a natural goalscorer. A striker who can lead the line for the Gunners in the absence of their French front-man, Olivier Giroud.

Could Wenger have played the biggest smokescreen and be ready to snap up the German and once again prove his worth in the transfer window?

Arsenal fans, what do you make of the Reus rumour? Would you like to see him at Arsenal? Do you think you need a striker more than Reus?

We dont need Reus. AW should bring in Cavanni, a DM and a CB urgently. I dont know why he thinks he can win the league with Sanogo. To be frank AW has lost it.
