United may have been splashing the cash today and it is possible that Arsenal and Spurs might grab some last minute deals, but it seems highly unlikely now that Chelsea will be strengthening their squad.
Mourinho has already signed Diego Costa, Cesc Fabregas, Didier Drogba and Loic Remy, and the side looks a lot more balanced (and clinical in front of goal) than they did last year.
Diego Costa has already shown his skills in front of the goal this season, with 4 goals in 3 games, also making him the Premier League’s current top goal scorer.
Drogba has still to score only coming on as a sub in the final quarter of the 3 matches he made appearances in. However it is clear that he will be a great option player to bring on late in games. And with Premier League, Champions League and League Cup matches to come, Chelsea will need to have players rotating in order not to tire them.
Loic Remy seems like another strong addition, though at the moment he seems like he will only be a squad player.
Have Chelsea now got the most potent strike force in the Premiership? Liverpool have replaced Suarez with an incredibly strong line up of players. Meanwhile City, with Jovetic hitting a run of form, also look very powerful. But maybe Chelsea have the fire power to win the Premiership this season.
