Google Nexus 5 We’ve been hearing bits and pieces about the Nexus X over the past few months, but did anyone think to consider what’s going to happen to the Nexus 5? Nope, me neither, because older phone models getting disregarded for newer versions happens all the time. But that may not be the case this time, since rumours suggest that there might be a 64GB Nexus 5 released alongside the Nexus X. It seems a bit bizarre, but the Nexus 5 didn’t come with microSD expansion. Not that a newer version of the phone is going to benefit anyone who already owns a Nexus 5. According to reports the newer version will also be more affordable than the Nexus X, probably aiming itself at the type of person who is willing to sacrifice hardware specs to take advantage of a bargain. We just don’t know right now, and Google is being remarkably tight-lipped about the future of the Nexus brand. The rumoured release date for the Nexus X is supposed to be around the end of October, so we’re just going to have to wait until then to find out for sure. [TKTechNews via Ubergizmo]
