Borussia Dortmund and Germany midfielder, Marco Reus is set to be sidelined for a month after suffering an ankle ligament injury in Germany’s 2-1 win over Scotland.
The play-maker went down in injury-time and the doctors have diagnosed the injury has ligament strains and damage in the ankle.
He is expected to be out of action for around four weeks, meaning he will miss the crucial Champions League tie against group-stage rivals, Arsenal. A club who were rumoured to be interested in signing the German during the transfer window, Wenger and his squad will be glad to see that Reus will be unable to feature and torment their defence.
It was the same left ankle that causes the Dortmund player to miss the World Cup and it looks to be a recurrence of a similar injury that is keeping Reus out once again.
