Neymar is one of the best players in the world, there is no arguments about that! However, the Barcelona winger embarrassed himself last night as he hit the crossbar in front of an open goal from 4 yards!

To top it all, the player looked so surprised he had missed he even forgot to go for the rebound that would’ve been a nice and easy poke home! Neymar is of course fortune his country Brazil were leading Ecuador 1-0 at the time and the miss didn’t cost them as the World Cup hosts secured the win by that scoreline.

The friendly took place in the MetLife Stadium, New Jersey and featured a much changed squad from the players that were humiliated 7-1 by Germany in the World Cup Semi-Finals. Chelsea’s Willian netted the only goal on the 31st minute as the side ousted the likes of David Luiz, Dani Alves, Marcello and newly retired striker Fred. Instead the back four of Danilo, Miranda, Marquinhos and Filipe Luis stood firm and kept a clean sheet.

It was a bonus for the side to see the return of Neymar who famously injured his back in the World Cup Quarter-Finals. Neymar is only 22 years of age but already has 36 goals in 56 caps for his nation, an incredible feat.
