Chelsea have announced that Thibaut Courtois has signed a new five-year-deal at the club. News that will be music to the ears of Chelsea fans, they will be delighted that this young starlet sees his future at their club.

Courtois has pushed aside former Chelsea number one, Petr Cech who is regarded as one of the Premier Leagues best ever goalkeepers. Speaking to Sky Sports, Courtois said, “I’m very happy with this new deal, it’s really nice to have signed this new contract for five years.”

“My future was already sorted but it’s nice to know I’m going to be here for another five years and now I can just concentrate on playing games.”

The 22-year-old was signed by Chelsea in 2011 from Belgian side Genk and was sent out on loan to Spain to gain experience. After three successful loan spells at Atletico Madrid, Jose Mourinho called time on his temporary moves and has now made the young Belgian his number one.

Touted as one of the biggest stars of the future, Courtois has already shown Chelsea fans what he has to offer and why he will be regarded as one of the best young keepers in the world.

A player who has also been named Begliums number one too, Courtois is turning heads and Chelsea fans will be delighted to know that the young starlet will be staying with them for another five years.
