Arsenal fans can start to breathe a sigh of relief as they welcome back three key players back to first team training. The Gunners once again have been desperately unlucky with their injuries woes, but yesterday they welcomed back Theo Walcott, Olivier Giroud and Serge Gnabry.
The trio have all had serious injuries which have kept them out of action, particularly Walcott who injured his knee ligaments back in January.
Arsene Wenger will be delighted to see the familiar faces back in training as he looks to add competition back into his first XI. With the likes of Debuchy, Ozil, Ramsey and Arteta all still out; Wenger will be thankful to see three key players return to the fray.
A side who are riddled with injuries what appears to be every season, Wenger just hasn’t had that fortunate break to allow his squad challenge for the title. With players who have the quality to be winning silverware; can Arsenal shake off their injuries and come back fighting?
He may not like it, but will Wenger have to dip his toes in the water during the January transfer window?
I think he might have to.
Nevertheless, as the trio edge ever closer back to full fitness, Wenger will be resting easier at night as his troops are beginning to fall back into place, one by one.
