Crystal Palace are looking to solidify their defence in January after enquiring the services of Slovenian defender, Gregor Balazic according to Sky Sports.
The 26-year-old centre half’s contract with current club FC Karpaty Lviv in Ukraine, expires on December 31. That means Palace would be able to sign the defender on a bosman free transfer in January.
Speaking about potential signings in the new year, Palace co-chairman, Steve Parish has revealed the clubs plans to improve the squad.
“We feel pretty good about where we are but we’re always looking to improve,” Parish said.
“We’re already looking to the January window and trying to plan for the future. We want to make sure we stay in the League and try to build the club.
“There’s money available if we find the right targets. There’s value in the market place everywhere if you look at it and you have to find it.”
Balazic came through the ranks of Benfica and has 2 caps for Slovenia and is expected to be apart of their squad that will face England in their Euro 2016 qualifier.
A chance for Palace fans to scout their potential new centre back.
